Have you seen big Lorries with the same names we see on shops? Without the lorry drivers the shops would be empty. Without Drivers there would be no trains or buses to go on. Each of them helps lots of people.

Lots of people go on each train.   

Lots of people go on each bus.

Lorries carry enough to shops for lots of people.

We rely on tranport workers for everything we eat and wear. Let us pray for them.

Loving Father, you created a world full of resources, enrichment and joy through which we journey day by day.

We ask your blessing on all whose daily work is dedicated to enabling us to get to work, to meet up with loved ones and friends, and to travel for leisure and pleasure.

At a time of great change and trauma for those working in travel and tourism, bless those whose future work is uncertain, or whose employer is no longer in business.

Guide those who drive, sail or pilot the vehicles in which we travel, and bless those whose maintainance skills and work keeps travellers safe.

As we travel around locally or further afield, make us aware of our responsibility to cherish our planet as well as enjoy it, and to care for it that others may equally enjoy all you have given us, in jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
