Bernard Bowden’s funeral will be held in St Peter’s Church on Tuesday 4th March at 12.30pm. Refreshments will be served at the back of the church following the service. All are welcome.
Wall Damaged
Our wall was damaged when a driver lost control.
This happened at around 9pm in the evening. Luckily nobody (including the driver) was hurt.
Our Grade 2 listing means the repair will take time to arrange, but it is all in the capable hands of our insurers.
Effective 10 March, our insurers have authorised the expenditure to repair the wall (when we can engage suitably qualified craftsmen)
Sunflower Cafe
On the last Friday each month, we hold a dementia-friendly Sunfower Cafe. The first one took place on the 31st of January 2025.
It was well attended and we would welcome new faces next month
New Ordinand
Emily has joined the parish as our new Ordinand (Trainee Priest)
She and her husband Nathan live nearby and they will be regular members of our congregation for the next year or so.
Open The Book
In addition to once-weekly assemblies at Sandringham School,
we now also tell Bible Stoies to pupils at Cross Farm each week.
The Bible Society ran an Open The Book regional training session
at St Francis'. Both "old hands" and "newcomers" found the experience valuable, and the three hours just flew by.
Fire Door on St Peters' Hall
A Big thank you to 3C Carpentry who gave their time to
fit our new fire exit door on the hall store room at St Peter’s Hall.
They did an excellent job and we would like to thank them for the support they have given us. It is greatly appreciated.
