To keep us safe from the virus, we aren’t able to go to church at the moment. Something we can all do as a church family is pray together. We can all do this in our own homes and God hears what each and every one of us says.

Have a go at The Power of Prayer Skittles Experiment – as you watch the experiment remember that although we are all different people in different places, we are drawn together as part of God’s family, no matter where we are!

The Power of Prayer - Skittles Experiment

For this experiment you will need: a plate, some skittles sweets and some hot water.

 

Start by arranging the skittles around the edge of the plate.

 

 

 

Pour some hot water onto the plate to cover its surface. Make sure you pour it carefully so that the skittles stay in place.

Keep watching the skittles …. Slowly their colour will start to run.

 

 

 

As the colours all start to come together, say a Thank You prayer to God. ‘Thank you God that even while we are apart, we can all pray to you together’. Amen
