Children and Young People

We welcome people of all ages to our church and there is always a special welcome for children and young people.

We are constantly developing what we offer for families with children so why not come and join us?

At St Peter’s on Sundays there is something for families every week at our main 10.00 am service.

Young Children (3 and under)

Young children are welcome in all our Sunday 10am services, where we also offer a creche facility, except for the lively, child orientated All Age service on the first Sunday which lasts 45 minutes.

For parents or carers with young children, we have a group meeting every Friday 9.30-11am in St Peter’s Parish Hall. Coffee and Chat ending with story, song and prayer.

We call this Chatterbox.

Children Aged 4 - 10 - SPLASH

St Peters has accessible services for children. 1st Sunday of the month (10am) the All-Age worship service includes activities for children.

3rd Sunday of of the month (10am) there is a similar service to the All-Age but with the addition of communion.

On other Sundays, children aged 4 to 10 years can go to their own special group "Splash" after the first hymn for fun children's church activities.  There are activities, prayers, a game and a story.  Parents can accompany their children if they wish.  Everyone returns in time for communion.
