Every Sunday

8am Holy Communion: A quiet service using the Book of Common Prayer. There is a short sermon and no hymns

First Sunday in the month

10.00am All age worship: A lively service suitable for all ages, with lots of children. There is usually something interactive and visual. The service lasts about 45 minutes.

Second and Fourth Sundays

Holy Communion 10.00am: A traditional Holy Communion in contemporary language, with a robed choir and hymns. There are groups for children who join their parents for a blessing at the time of Communion.

Third Sunday of the month

10.00am Family Communion:  A lively service suitable for all ages, with an interactive style and communion, lasting about one hour.

We are happy for children to remain in church for all our services, but there is a crèche available for children under 4 at all 10.00am services if their parents wish to use it.

Evening Worship is normally at 6.30pm  and has a variety of styles.

First Sunday of the month - a service of Holy Communion  with hymns, using contemporary language.

Second Sunday of the month - INSPIRE - a contemporary service with music led by a worship band, and a lively talk relating the Bible to everyday life.  Note the time and place - 7.30pm at St Francis'

Third Sunday of the month is a formal Choral Evensong with hymns, anthems sung by the choir, a good sermon, sung liturgy and often with a special visiting preacher. 

Fourth Sunday of the month– An informal service of Evening Worship.

Morning Prayer

At 9.00am Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: Half an hour to start the day with prayer using Common Worship. Including prayer, Bible readings and reflection. 

Wednesday 10.00 am: A friendly, traditional service of Holy Communion in contemporary language. In Lent and Advent we try to explore a variety of approaches to prayer and Scripture. The service is followed by coffee and an opportunity to chat with friends.
